Our Story

In January 2015, Missione Tre V opened an advice and day care centre: The Open House Ragusa, here immigrants, men and women of all ages, looking for humanitarian protection could receive help and advice. As a YWAM base our aim is to serve the refugees through the work done at The Open House but also to serve the local churches thanks to help received from teams of volunteers coming from different countries.

In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic and a seven-month lockdown forced us to close the Open House Ragusa. Despite the challenges, we were able to support many migrant families with essential supplies such as food, diapers, and gas for heating. Throughout the pandemic, we continued our mission through home visits, Bible studies, and global online seminars and teachings via Zoom.

A turning point came in 2021 when, through a remarkable miracle, we purchased our first property—a 550 m² building now undergoing renovations. Since progress has taken longer than expected, in 2023 we rented a commercial space to ensure continuity in our work. Today, we continue to serve the community through a range of integration projects and events, staying true to our commitment to connection, care and serving those in need.

We believe that through love and service, we can embody the principles of Truth, Values, and Life, illuminating the path for those seeking refuge, restoration, and purpose.

Our Values

At the heart of everything we do is our mission: Serve God – Meet People. This simple yet powerful statement guides our actions, shapes our culture, and reflects the values we live by every day.

1. Faithfulness
We are committed to serving God with integrity, humility, and trust. Whether through practical help or spiritual support, we aim to reflect God’s love in all that we do.

2. Compassion
We respond to the needs around us with open hearts. From supporting families during times of crisis to walking alongside individuals in their journey, we believe every act of kindness carries eternal value.

3. Community
We believe in the power of connection. Creating spaces where people feel welcomed, seen, and valued—regardless of background or status—is at the core of our work.

4. Resilience
In the face of challenges, we remain committed to our vision. We adapt, persevere, and keep going—together.

5. Generosity
We are stewards of what we’ve been given—whether it's time, resources, or space. From fundraising to volunteering, we share freely to bless others.

6. Transformation
We believe every life has potential for change. Through teaching, discipleship, integration projects, and acts of service, we seek to be a catalyst for growth—spiritually, socially, and personally.

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.

Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.

Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to help youth get involved in missions.

Today, we still focus on youth and we also include people of all ages. We currently have tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) from nearly every country, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.

The main focus of the organization is Training, Evangelism & Mercy Ministry.
